Hello all!!
Camp is coming up fast: This Saturday, August 24th from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Registration will begin around 8:30 am and the fun will begin at 9:00 am. For registration, please bring exact cash or check (made out to SBGC or Spring Branch Girls Choir). See the Registration form for exact costs.
There will be fun games, get-to-know-you activities, snacks, and a free pizza lunch will be provided.
This is a great opportunity for the girls to get to know each other and us as well. We encourage all girls (including the older girls) to attend camp.
The first rehearsal will start on Tuesday August 27th at 4:30pm at Northbrook Middle School in the cafeteria. You can arrive at 4:00 p.m. I will be there to greet your student. A reminder to Amani Singers, Rehearsal will go until 6:30 for you.

New Girl Auditions!
Monday, May 6th, 2019
“OK. HOW CAN I AUDITION? ”
Auditions will be held on May 20th and 21st between 4:00-6:00 pm at Northbrook MIDDLE school 3030 Rosefield Dr. Houston Texas, 77080.
You must sign up online HERE. Have your parent log on to the website to sign up for a time slot for your audition. Please leave all the information you can (see below) in the comment box. If you cannot use the website, you can call Ms. Snelling and leave a detailed message at Northbrook Middle School on her voice mail at 713-251-4124.
In the phone message, please state:
• student’s name
• school
• grade
• home phone number
• any special needs that concern time.
We are signing up girls on a first contact, first serve basis, so go online today!!! You will receive an e-mail confirming the time.
“HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE AUDITION?”
For the audition you should be prepared to:
• sing “America” (My Country ‘tis of Thee)
• sing the round “Brother John” (Are You Sleeping)
• echo sing small melodic phrases
• read text, and vocalize.
It is not a frightening experience and should only last about five minutes. The directors are just trying to be certain of your singing ability.
You also need a completed recommendation form:
• take a blank SBGC recommendation form to your classroom teacher (NOT YOUR MUSIC TEACHER)
• ask them to fill out the form and send the form to Elizabeth Snelling at Northbrook Middle School or email it to her at elizabeth.snelling@springbranchisd.com

End of Year Trip!

Here is the information for Moody Gardens:
Congratulations on completing this year with Spring Branch Girls Choir!
To celebrate we will be taking a day trip to Moody Gardens on May 19th.
The trip will include the following itinerary:
• Arrive at Northbrook Middle School – 8:00 am
• Leave for Galveston – 8:30
• Arrive at 9:45
• Aquarium tour 10:00-11:00
• Rainforest Adventure – 11:00-12:00
• Lunch 12:30-1:30 (Buffet!)
• Boat Tour – 2:00-3:00
• Head home at 3:00
• Pick up at Northbrook Middle School – 4:15-4:30.
We will be covering the cost of this trip. It will be first come first serve. There are 18 tickets. We do not need chaperones. If you would like to accompany us on this trip, you will have to purchase your own tickets for our four events and lunch when we get to Moody Gardens.
The form will be uploaded tomorrow around midday. The form must be attached to an email, signed and filled in. The first 18 forms will be taken.
